Corporate Social Responsibility

As Merkur Holding we have always respected and will respect the community that we are both part of and serve and therefore we have made ‘people’ our primary focus. For this reason, we put effort in every company that we have in every sector that we have business with to make social responsibility a part of their corporate management style. We cooperate with our companies to realize our companies’ social, economic and environmental impact and through that strengthen our steps towards a company with a more social responsibility awareness.

     Since Corporate Social Responsibility must be a subject that needs to be seen by the public that we are part of, that we serve and that we are connected; with this Corporate Social Responsibility Policy we emphasize the principles that we think everyone should pay attention.
1. A corporate’s dynamics are both related to its inside and outside interactions. Our employee’s welfare and that they are treated with dignity is as important as our customers’. Therefore, it is our priority to take great care in our corporate culture and to make sure that our working environment is protecting our employee’s health and security for the sake of our employee’s welfare.
2. Beyond our legal obligations, we encourage our companies to take the necessary steps for transparency and sustainability.
3. We believe that reporting and indicating your companies’ impact on society, economy and environment with transparency is a strong sign that your company is powerful; therefore, we continue to take action on transparency and sustainability.
4. In every sector that we have business with and countries that we cooperate, since we are aware of our responsibilities towards the society, environment and economy, we care about acting in accordance with our employees, business partners and customers and also in a way that prevents conflict.
5. We always treat our employees with honesty and justice, make no discrimination among them and never let anyone to make any discrimination as well. Since our employees’ progress is direct proportional to our progress, we always support their personal development and make necessary incentives.
6. As a company which is aware of its social responsibilities, we contribute on anything we can to be a part of the societal improvement.
7. Not only in Turkey but in every country that we have business with, we are sensitive to their traditions and cultures as well as the legal obligations and regulations.
8. We encourage the companies under our roof to adapt the necessary applications accordingly with the international standards and to certify & license them.
With the principles in this policy, we assure to put them in practice for our mission as Merkur Holding in the name of Social Responsibility and share it with all of our employees, business partners and customers.
